Are You Saved?

Many people are unsure about what it truly means to be saved.

Jesus teaches us that there is only one way to salvation: believing in Him.

Being good can’t save you.
Going to church can’t save you.
Being baptized can’t save you.
Being religious can’t save you.

Why not?

Because we can’t save ourselves. Only Jesus can. That’s the Good News—salvation comes through Him alone! Following Jesus is the key to eternal life.

How is someone saved?

The Good News About Jesus

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

The Apostle John wrote, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

The Apostle Paul declared, “If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

Salvation is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ—believe in Him, confess His Lordship, and receive the promise of eternal life!

Why Believe in Jesus?

Because Jesus is alive!

The Good News is this:

“Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, He was buried, He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then He appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time.” (1 Corinthians 15:1–6 ESV)

When you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, you will be saved! Jesus conquered sin and death so that we could have eternal life through Him.

How Can I Be Saved?

Make the Most Important Decision of Your Life

The Bible says, “If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).

Choosing to follow Jesus is the greatest decision anyone can ever make!

Ask yourself these questions:

Do you recognize that you’re a sinner and feel sorry for your sins?
Do you believe Jesus died for your sins and rose again?
Are you ready to ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior?

If you answered “yes,” a great way to begin following Jesus is through prayer. You can start with a prayer like this:

Dear God,
I know I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose from the dead. I’m ready to follow Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Today, I trust You alone to save me. Thank You for making me part of Your family. With Your help, I want to live the rest of my life for Jesus.

Amen.
